Weird Wines of the World - Natural Wine tasting
Natural wine is made from grapes grown on a small-scale, mostly organically, by independent producers. Hand-picked, unfiltered, natural yeast to ferment and little or no sulphur is used. This is wort's and all, untamed and un-photoshopped wine. If you’re even slightly into wine, you’ve probably heard about natural wine and this tasting will be a chance to see what all the fuss is about.
With no official definition it's hard to pin point what exactly constitutes a "natural wine" but on this evening we will work our way through some fascinating examples, such as Orange wines, Pétillant Naturel: (aka “Pet Nat”).
More than a hipster fab, natural wine, like craft beer, forms a social movement as well a drinks category. challenging the status quo, and what people think is “good wine” Even though natural wine represents less than 1% of all the wine in the world, it has recently become the darling of sommeliers all over. Perhaps for you too?
Tasting notes and some cheese and crackers to nibble on are provided.
Great value at £27.50 for a chance to try something different and new.
