Vive La France! 8 Week in-depth French Wine course

Vive La France! 8 Week in-depth French Wine course

Introducing Manchester Wine School’s first ever in-depth look at the wines of France.

The greatest wine-producing country in the world? Many other places offer excellent wines, but what makes France stand out from the pack is the way in which they have provided the inspiration for countless winemakers in other countries in the form of benchmarks for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and many more.

But what also marks France out for attention is how among all the legendary names of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne there are also extremely good but lesser-known wines such as Jurançon, Bourgueil and Bandol. In this 8-session course, we’ll be looking at examples of both the famous and the not-so-famous. Regardless of whether you’re an out-and-out Francophile or someone who has always found French wine a little daunting, there’ll be something here for you.

In order to squeeze as many aspects of French wine into the course, we’ll be tasting 8 wines each week. There are just 24 places for each session, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The price for the entire course is £270, including all wines. (8 per tasting) plus full tasting notes and a selection of nibbles on the night.
From the end of January, you’ll be able to book each of the sessions individually, but we’d prefer to give people the entire experience of French wine rather than cherry-pick their favourite regions.
The total course price represents a reduction of at least 10% on booking each session separately.

If you would like to attend individual nights, just click on the event below to book.

So what are you waiting for?

This course would make the perfect give for any wine lover. or Francophile. Book a place and we can arrange for a gift voucher to be sent either by post or email detailing the course. Just let us know.
