Red Wine with Cheese Matching
As the summer draws to a close and the nights get darker, you can't beat a nice glass of red wine! And what goes best with wine?? CHEESE of course!
Join us this September in Manchester city centre, where we will taste our way through some of the best examples of red wines from around the world, matched with Cheese to balance the tanins and enhance to flavour of nothe wine and the cheese.
By comparing and contrasting red wines from around the world, we will explore how styles can differ dependent on county and climate. We will focus on the differences between Old World wines and their New World counterparts.
On the night we could be comparing some of your favourite varieties, which could include, Shiraz, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon
Do you think you can tell the difference between Syrah from Rhone Valley and Shiraz from the Barossa Valley?
What about a Malbec from Cahors v the famous Argentinian Malbec. Does a classic Bordeaux Claret appeal or will you prefer a South African version?
We'll take you on a guided tour through each region/country to find the right one for you.
All accompanied by full tasting notes and cheeses to match.
