Explore Spain and Portugal
Spain is an intriguing mixture of old and new - winemakers are combining traditional grape varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Carinena with ‘international’ grape varieties, to produce stunning new wines. Regions such as Navarra & Ribera del Duero, are leading the charge. You will taste new wines from the more up and coming regions (such as Rueda & Calatayud), as well as traditional Rioja, from the most improved wine producing country in Europe. Come and find out more!
And we should not forget Portugal a truely diverse country with over 200 of it's own grape varieties. There has been a major upward shift in qualty in recent years and the value from some Portugese reds is hard to beat. Stunning wines, unique and different.
We will also try to dispel any assumptions that these two are only producing quality red wines with some examples of fine indigenous whites.
